Installation Instructions - Upgrade Market Manager
v5.0+ to GemPro ()
Who
should use this program...
-
Clients
who are currently using Market Manager version 5.x.x
or later (version 5.x.x is mandatory for the
upgrade).

Clients
who collect the full ASX market for stocks, warrants
and indices.
Who
should NOT use this program...
-
GemPro
is not suitable for clients who subscribe to
the Top 150, Top 500 or Custom Portfolios.
-
GemPro
does not support the direct dial data collection
method. You can only collect your data via the
Internet collection method.
-
GemPro
does not support the creation of ASCII text files.
What
this program will do...
-
Remove
your Market Manager program and install GemPro
retaining your existing database settings.
-
Convert
your Market Manager settings for your data to the
new format required by GemPro.
-
Remove
your desktop icon for Market Manager.
Instructions
To upgrade Market Manager
to GemPro, please follow the steps below:

Make
a note of the current location for Market Manager. If
you are not sure where Market Manager is installed, click
here for instructions.

Make
a back-up or copy of your Market Manager Folder AND Data Folder.

Click
this link to Install
GemPro.
(You will require a connection to the Internet
throughout the upgrade process).

In
the File Download window that appears, choose
"Run program from its current location"
and then click "OK", or click the
"Open" button (depending on your version
of Internet Explorer).

The
Installation Program will initialise and the display
a Welcome screen. Follow the on-screen
instructions.

Confirm
that the Destination Folder is the same as the
intended installation of Market Manager you are upgrading
and click the Next button. If the
Destination Folder path is not correct, click the
Browse button and enter the correct destination
path.

Follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the upgrade process.

When
the upgrade of Market Manager has completed, GemPro
will automatically start.
